Lightweight, Rail-Based Welding System

Koike Aronson, Inc./Ransome, a manufacturer of metalcutting and positioning equipment, has announces the IK-72W, a lightweight, versatile welding system that travels on an adjustable track secured by magnets. Designed for high production rates, it can weld on curved plate, in channels and on angled steel members.

The IK-72W uses the magnetic track design of the Koike IK-72T cutting machine. The track can be extended or curved to match the need, and the magnets allow for vertical use.

The IK-72W is compatible with most MIG welding systems. A communication cable sends the signal to the wire feeder using the trigger circuitry. Various adapters allow use with various trigger plug configurations. A standard curved or 180 degree torch can be mounted.

Koike Aronson, Inc./Ransome designs and manufactures welding positioners and cutting products as well as portable and gas apparatus equipment.
