MV6 VarioLase Combines Portable Laser Marking with Integrated Class 1 Protection
October 23, 2026MARKATOR and Rocklin Manufacturing have introduced the MV6 VarioLase, a portable fiber laser marking system designed to bring permanent laser marking directly to medium-to-large parts, assemblies and tooling that can be difficult to move to a traditional enclosed laser workstation.
The new solution will be on display at IMTS, as well as FABTECH, the company reported.
Available with a 20W fiber laser or optional 30W configuration, the MV6 VarioLase incorporates Class 1 laser protection through interchangeable contact noses and an integrated safety seal system. The mobile design allows the marking head to be positioned directly on the workpiece while maintaining an enclosed marking area.
The system supports engraving and annealing of metals as well as marking of plastics and composite materials. It can produce text, logos, serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes and Data Matrix codes for part identification and traceability applications.
For smaller components and repetitive applications, the MV6 VarioLase can also be configured as a stationary tabletop workstation. This allows the same system to be used for both mobile marking of large components and fixed marking of smaller production parts.
Additional features include integrated safety monitoring, LED status indicators, quick-change contact noses and MARKATOR MV6 LaseControl software for creating serial numbers, variable data, logos, QR codes, GS1 codes and barcodes.
The MV6 VarioLase expands MARKATOR’s permanent marking portfolio beyond its established dot peen systems, including the battery-powered FlyMarker mini series, into portable fiber laser marking. Rocklin Manufacturing Co. is the North American distributor for MARKATOR marking systems.
