With working strokes of 8,000 mm on the X-axis, 1,600 mm on the Y-axis, and 3,000 mm on the Z-axis, the milling machine offers an expansive operating space, suited for machining large and complex components.
The PL15II worktable, measuring 9,000 x 2,500 mm and with a load capacity of 15,000 kg/m2, allows for the secure clamping of heavy and large workpieces, while maintaining flatness standards in accordance with class II of DIN 876.
A distinctive feature of this Ecomill Plus HPC3 is the universal bi-rotary head with automatic millesimal positioning. Its characteristics are:

The provision for automatic head change offers further flexibility for the customer, making the machine suitable for a wide range of chip removal processes and opening up new processing possibilities with the addition of a future milling head more suited to new challenges.
Configured with HEIDENHAIN TNC 640 HSCI CNC and the Industry 4.0 package, it offers features that help ensure more streamlined, integrated and connected production management. The tool change system with a 60- position chain magazine and an exchange arm fixed to the column allows tool changes with the spindle in a horizontal position, reducing downtime and increasing productivity. In addition, the HR550FS wireless pushbutton panel and the Renishaw RMP60 radio probe facilitate set-up and quality control operations directly on the machine.
The Ecomill Plus HPC3 is equipped with a dual coolant delivery cooling system:
- 6 bar/28 l/min via collectors and adjustable rigid nozzles
- 40 bar/20 l/min through the spindle, for tools with a central hole (DIN 69871/A).
The system has 1,000-litre tanks with double filtration (60 μm and 30 μm), offering efficient fluid management and long tool life. The chip conveyor completes the system, enabling continuity, order, and cleanliness in the working environment. Mecof's ECOMILL milling machines offer reliability and support Industry 5.0 due to options such as full fairing, laser tool presetting systems, and digital connectivity.
