IDEA Induction to Exhibit Induction Heating & Hardening Solutions at FABTECH 2025
September 11, 2025IDEA Induction LLC, specializing in custom induction heating systems and precision-crafted inductors for specific applications, has announced it will exhibit its latest innovations at FABTECH 2025, September 8-11, 2025 at Chicago's McCormick Place.
"Our induction heating experts will be on hand in the welding automation pavilion to discuss preheating for welding, brazing, hardening and shrink fitting projects, as well as new products in our line-up such as a deck straightening machine and 3-D printed induction coils," a company spokesperson said.
Here are some of the highlights.
Preheating for Welding
Welding large components, such as truck wheel hubs can be difficult and awkward because of a combination of material, geometry and thermal challenges. "Fortunately, we have a solution. In our exhibit we’ll explain how preheating with our heating cables solves many of the problems including preventing weld cracks and part distortion, which is critical for thick or high-strength materials," a company spokesperson said.
Induction Hardening Equipment
"One of the many advantages of joining the IDEA Group is that we can now offer hardening equipment. We'll be talking about the KH 750 model that was developed specifically for the U.S. market at FABTECH. This versatile machine can harden gears, shafts and other critical components," a company spokesperson said.
3D Printed Inductors
Although IDEA INDUCTION is known for its custom coil fabrication capabilities in its Auburn Hills, MI plant, joining the IDEA Group means that they now have access to 3D printed inductors, as well as the conventional induction coils. 3D printed coils have extremely high dimensional accuracy, are highly stable and reproducible, have short delivery times and are built to last. "Our induction heating experts can help explain when 3D coils make the most sense," a company spokesperson said.
Deck Straightening
"Lightweight and easy to maneuver, our mobile, induction deck straightening systems are energy efficient and provide excellent results for shipbuilding or repair. A quick-change connection system makes switching from straightening floors to working on bulkheads or beams fast. We'll have a deck straightening machine in our booth, so you can see how magnets help guide and stabilize the process," a company spokesperson said.
