KUKA Connexions 2025: Making Automation Easier
October 4, 2025KUKA Robotics hosted its annual two-day KUKA Connexions event from July 21-23, 2025, in Palm Beach, FL. The event assembled official KUKA System Partners, integrators and Technology Partners from across North America to educate attendees on technology and solutions that better serve their customers and make automation easier.
Attendees experienced valuable networking opportunities, hands-on demonstrations with emerging technology, insightful panels from KUKA partners and keynotes that inspired them to improve North American business efficiencies through automation and AI, the company reported.
KUKA System Partners play a central role in delivering advanced automation solutions to manufacturers across North America. As system integrators, these partners provide industry expertise while collaborating closely with customers to assess their specific automation needs. These partners help implement custom solutions that address operational challenges and long-term growth for KUKA customers by incorporating KUKA’s portfolio of innovative robotics and Industry 4.0 technologies.
KUKA’s advanced autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and industrial robot technology were showcased with customer success stories from Assurant, MillerKnoll and AndyRobot, highlighting how KUKA automation enables successful production and makes their applications possible. Assurant, for example, is able to process more than 10 million refurbished phones annually in a single plant with the assistance of KUKA AMRs and industrial robots, while MillerKnoll utilizes mobile automation from KUKA to support its intralogistics operations, according to the company.
Keynote presentations on automation’s role in advanced manufacturing were given by some of the foremost leaders in North American manufacturing and technology. Representatives from NVIDIA, Microsoft and Nextracker provided attendees with insights and expertise on how automation will continue to assume an increasingly dominant position across the board in manufacturing. Integrators serving the Tier 1 automotive industry also discussed the current market of this sector and how their partnership with KUKA strengthens their continued success in automotive manufacturing.
KUKA Connexions 2025 also provided a platform to display several new KUKA technology solutions, including KUKA Simulation Assistant, KUKA Xpert AI, KR C5-2 controller and the iiQKA.OS2.
KUKA Simulation Assistant allows users to quickly simulate and test new automation solutions and production processes with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) through their my.KUKA customer platform. In addition to virtually validating and optimizing new processes, customers can also use their my.KUKA account to access the AI-assisted KUKA Xpert, a knowledge management tool that offers comprehensive technical information specifically for service technicians, planners, programmers, operators and engineers alike.
KUKA’s iiQKA.OS2 combines the best of two worlds – the proven core of the KUKA.SystemSoftware (KSS) and the modern user interface with modular safety – meeting important automation requirements by enabling the simulation of multiple robots and their peripherals.
"Backed by decades of development experience and built with a contemporary tech stack using the latest web technologies, the new OS delivers expanded functionality, enhanced user experience and streamlined workflows," said a company spokesperson. "It can also detect errors at an early stage due to its various engineering functions such as simulation, offline programming and comprehensive tests in a virtual environment, making automation easier through drastically reducing risk and its overall cost."
KUKA’s KR C5 industrial robot controller brings maximum performance, connectivity and flexibility to automation with seamless integration to existing infrastructures, the company reported. "The KR C5's modular, space-saving design with easy installation and low energy consumption ensures highly efficient performance while simultaneously conserving resources," a spokesperson said.
KUKA also hosted an awards banquet during the event to celebrate its KUKA System Partners from the U.S., Mexico and Canada. FOCUS Integration, a robotic palletizing and automation company located in Westland, MI, received the award for Partner of the Year for the North American region.
All KUKA automation solutions, including those shown during KUKA Connexions, are backed by the company’s expert service and support for training, complete system engineering and simulation, readily available spare parts, robot refurbishment and more, all of which are easily accessible through the my.KUKA.com site.
