Extrusion Technology for Aluminum Profiles Foundation, Aluminum Extruders Council Issue Call for Abstracts for ET 2027; Submission Deadline February 26, 2026

The Extrusion Technology for Aluminum Profiles Foundation (ET Foundation) and the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) have issued the Call for Abstracts for ET 2027 - the 14th International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar and Exposition.

ET '27 will take place during the week of April 26, 2027, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL. The heart of ET is the technical and exposition events, which will occur April 27-29, 2027. However, ET is packed with leaning opportunities at various in-conjunction and networking events throughout the week, according to organizers.

The international aluminum extrusion industry, manufacturers, end users of aluminum extrusions, as well as product engineers and designers are invited to submit technical paper abstracts through the ET '27 Abstract Submissions Portal at ETPapers.org. The link to the Abstract Portal can also be found on the ET ’27 website at ET27.us. The Abstract submission deadline is February 26, 2026.

This event, which has been in existence for more than 50 years, attracts the best and brightest minds of the aluminum extrusion and surrounding industries, according to organizers. More than 1,300 professionals from the aluminum extrusion and end-user markets gather to hear the latest research, innovations, applications and technical developments from ET authors.

Papers and presentations at ET '27 are expected to address topics specifically related to aluminum extrusion, such as new processes or techniques, the use of new and updated equipment, best practices, sustainability and environmental issues, market developments, product applications, metallurgical and manufacturing research, emerging technology and more.

The 2027 ET Seminar program features seven tracks, and technical papers will be arranged into one of these tracks for easier navigation throughout the week, including:

* Alloys & Billet Process

* Extrusion Design & Innovation*

* Extrusion Equipment

* Extrusion & Die Process

* Extrusion & Die R&D

* Sustainability & Management

* Extrusion Finishes & Fabrication

*Specific to the Extrusion Design & Innovation track, papers of a less scientific approach will be considered. References are optional for this track, which focuses on innovative extruded aluminum designs and product applications.

The ET Seminar Committee prides itself on the professionalism of The Proceedings that is distributed to registered delegates upon arrival at the ET Seminar. Therefore, Abstracts and Papers will be evaluated based on the following Selection Criteria:

* Relevance and timeliness

* Usefulness and uniqueness

* Practical application and industry impact

* International appeal

* Conciseness and clarity

* Noncommercial content

Selected authors will be invited to submit technical papers based on abstracts reviewed by the ET Seminar Committee, which is comprised of aluminum extrusion industry professionals and academics involved in extrusion and related scientific research.

Papers of a technical, practical, operational or theoretical nature are encouraged for ET '27. Renowned experts are prominent among ET authors, although not every author needs to have a lengthy set of credentials. Solid, common-sense work reflecting real-world extrusion practice is welcome.

Final paper acceptance and presentation are subject to additional review after abstract acceptance.

The accepted papers will be published in The Proceedings of the 14th International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar - ET '27, distributed to all delegates. For more than 50 years, ET papers have delivered innovative information and problem-solving resources for the aluminum extrusion industry; ET Proceedings have become one of the industry's most valuable resources and are frequently referenced in other technical publications, according to organizers. Many consider the ET Seminar to be the best setting for presenting aluminum extrusion technical research.

Visit the ET ’27 conference website at www.ET27.us for complete information as it becomes available.

The International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar and Exposition is the world's longest-running educational event solely devoted to all facets of the aluminum extrusion industry, including aluminum profile production, die design and technology, metallurgy, equipment, product applications, sustainability and more. ET attracts upwards of 1,300 industry professionals from around the world, representing more than 50 countries.
