Okamoto ACC-3280CHiQ Surface Double Column Grinder
The ACC-3280CHiQ Surface Double Column Grinder from Okamoto is designed for high precision grinding of large components. "It delivers both the high accuracy and high efficiency needed for demanding mold and die base production applications," said a company spokesperson. "Ultra rigid double column design and construction stand up to prolonged heavy-duty grinding conditions. Double vee table way construction provides continued peak accuracy. With all its capacity, this grinder has a surprisingly small footprint, saving valuable shop floor space."
The ACC-3280CHiQ is designed to provide a consistently high degree of flatness across the entire workpiece surface. An exclusive "Reform" mechanism automatically adjusts for crossrail slide wear without CNC compensation. A Shift-Plunge grinding cycle is engineered to provide fast, efficient stock removal, and the grinder's multi-level grinding capability enhances grinding flexibility. The standard 30 HP spindle motor and 20" diameter concave grinding wheel are designed to handle tough grinding requirements.
The ACC-3280CHiQ's table size (W x L) is 32" x 80". Maximum pass width is 40". Maximum distance under standard wheel is 23.5". Table load capacity including chuck is 5,512 lbs. Machine weight is 34,200 lbs. Larger capacity models are available.
Exclusive Okamoto iQ Software is engineered to simplify data input. All data input can be completed using only two data screens.
An exclusive BIX High Pressure Coolant System is available as an option. This system optimizes grinding throughput by enabling up to a 10x increase in vertical infeed amounts. The BIX System also minimizes wheel clogging, thereby extending wheel life.
Standard features include a grinding wheel adaptor, hydraulic overhead wheel dresser with dress compensation, dresser stand with diamond tool, automatic oil temperature regulator, spindle speed controller and more. Available options include coolant systems, electro-magnetic chucks, 24" grinding wheel, dynamic balancing apparatus and more.
