Optical Gaging Products (OGP), a division of Quality Vision International (QVI), offers its VICI Vision MTL X5 Optical Measuring System to the medical manufacturing marketplace.
VICI Vision optical measuring systems are designed for fast and easy external dimensional profile measurements of cylindrical parts such as shafts, valves, screws and threaded inserts. The MTL X5 was specifically designed to measure small turned bio-mechanical components, including dental implants, bone screws and other medical device parts. Its high-resolution camera provides an enlarged image and is capable of resolving the intricate features typically inherent in small turned parts.
"MTL X5 system software enables automatic measurement of lengths, diameters, angles, radii, bevels and threads of even the smallest details," said a company spokesperson.
