EDGECAM to be Exhibited April 24-25 at the Grand Opening of the Hartwig - Okuma Houston Tech Center

Valued for its programming power and flexibility, the EDGECAM computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) solution will be exhibited April 24-25 at the grand opening of the Hartwig - Okuma Houston Tech Center in Houston, Texas.

Featuring 22 industry partners, an extensive machinery exhibition, live machining demonstrations and additive manufacturing (AM) seminars, the event will showcase the combined industry expertise of machine-tool manufacturer and solutions provider Okuma, and machine-tool distributor Hartwig.

“Working with partners like Okuma and Hartwig ensures that our mutual customers receive the best machinery and software that we can provide,” said Vic Baker, Strategic Partner Manager – Americas for the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Production Software business.

"The latest version of EDGECAM responds to an increase in hybrid manufacturing by introducing an Additive Machining module," said a company spokesperson. "Supporting the Direct Energy Deposition method, EDGECAM now offers a dedicated manufacturing cycle that accurately guides a laser as it deposits material to form a shape. The shape is then machined using EDGECAM’s milling cycles to create the final component."
