Applications for Phillips Education's Sponsored Haas Training Seat Due June 19; Recipient to Receive Fully Covered Access to Hands-on Haas Maintenance & Repair Training Program

Amid escalating pressures to minimize downtime and enhance in-house troubleshooting, manufacturing operations nationwide continue to face a critical skills gap. In response, Phillips Education recently announced a new initiative to directly invest in the skilled professionals who maintain critical production machinery. The division will offer one fully sponsored seat in its highly regarded Haas Maintenance & Repair Training program.

Starting June 8, 2026, Phillips Education will begin accepting applications for this rare opportunity. As part of an ongoing commitment to support the backbone of American manufacturing, this program is designed to directly contribute to the industry's sustained excellence. It is hoped this sponsored training will empower an individual, and by extension, an entire team, to significantly enhance operational efficiency and tackle maintenance challenges with renewed confidence.

“Throughout my career, I’ve seen how access to the right education and training can open doors and create new opportunities,” said Brad Adams, President of Phillips Education. “This sponsorship reflects our belief that investing in people is one of the best ways to strengthen manufacturing. We are proud to provide this opportunity to the recipient, knowing it will help them take the next step in their professional development and bring valuable expertise back to their organization.”

The selected applicant will gain access to Phillips Education’s intensive five-day Haas Maintenance & Repair Training program, the same curriculum trusted by leading manufacturers across diverse sectors including aerospace, automotive, medical, defense, precision machining, and more. The program emphasizes real-world, hands-on troubleshooting of Haas mechanical and electrical systems, conducted at Phillips Education state-of-the-art facilities in Mooresville, NC, and Knoxville, TN.

Key training topics include:

            • Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics

            • Machine recovery workflows

            • Spindle replacement and alignment

            • Ball screw replacement

            • Tool changer repair

            • Leveling and geometry fundamentals

            • Haas Classic and Next Gen control systems

Participants train directly on production-level Haas equipment, guided by instructors with more than 140 years of combined field experience. Phillips Education's program has a proven track record, having helped over 3,500 technicians nationwide enhance their in-house maintenance capabilities, boost troubleshooting confidence, and reduce reliance on external service support.

Applications for the sponsored training seat will be accepted through June 19, 2026. The sponsorship covers the full cost of the course. Travel, lodging, meals, and other incidental expenses remain the responsibility of the selected applicant or their company. The chosen participant must schedule their training to be completed before September 30, 2026.
