Gleason to Showcase Innovations at MPT 2025

Gleason Corp. has announced it will participate in Motion + Power Technology Expo 2025 (MPT) in Detroit, MI, from Oct. 21–23, 2025. This year, Gleason will present groundbreaking innovations across the full spectrum of gear technology—from digital design and high-precision manufacturing to nano-level inspection—with a particular focus on Smart Loop Gear Manufacturing.

At the heart of Gleason’s presentation is the seamless transition from gear design to manufacturing. The latest KISSsoft gear-design software, now integrated with the KISSsoft System Module, enables simulation of complete transmissions and gearbox components, streamlining the engineering process; it will be showcased live at the booth.

In manufacturing, Gleason introduces several solutions tailored to small- and medium-sized gear production. The Phoenix 100C bevel-gear cutting machine offers fast, user-friendly production of high-precision bevel gears for robotic and industrial applications. For differential gear systems, the Coniflex Pro manufacturing system delivers closed-loop control that significantly reduces surface stress and root bending while improving noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance and transmission accuracy.

In gear inspection, Gleason unveils the 175GMS nano gear-metrology system, providing submicron precision using a skidless probe and advanced evaluation tools such as waviness analysis and the KTEPS (Kinematic Transmission Error Prediction Software). New to Gleason’s metrology program are INTRA single- and double-flank testing systems, which are tailored to customer needs and can be fully automated for in-line or cell-based inspection.

Visitors will also experience QFS Quick-Flex system workholding with changeovers in under 30 seconds, and see the latest hydraulic and mechanical clamping systems designed for precision and ease of handling across a wide range of machining needs.

Complementing the machinery are Gleason’s broad tool offerings: high-performance hard-finishing tools for grinding and honing, carbide power-skiving cutters for any machine platform, and a full portfolio of HSS and carbide hobs and milling cutters—including worm-gear hobs and coarse-pitch hobs—for automotive, industrial, and many other applications.

Additionally, Gleason Plastic Gears offers optimized gear-tooth macro- and microgeometry through KISSsoft, system analysis, design-for-moldability, custom material selection, single- and multi-cavity molds, no-weld-line technology, over-molding and more.

Finally, Gleason Global Services will be on site to demonstrate how digital maintenance tools, modernization programs and expert support ensure maximum uptime and performance across the entire machine life cycle.
