September 8-11: Steel Warehouse to Showcase Steel Solutions at FABTECH 2025

Steel Warehouse Company, a steel solutions provider and service center, has announced it will attend FABTECH 2025 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, September 8 to 11. The company plans to showcase its steel solutions at booth #A4981, where it will also have representatives available to answer technical questions, discuss product offerings and explain the company’s value-added services. These include in-house metallurgists who assist in material selection and design, just-in-time (JIT) delivery, inventory management and steel processing, such as temper pass cut to length, blanking, pickling, slitting, laser cutting and more.

Steel Warehouse high-strength steels (HSS), up to Grade 160, will be among the solutions at the booth. This material supports innovative designs for the agriculture, mining and construction industries by offering thinner, lighter steel — without sacrificing strength. These features allow customers to fabricate equipment with increased payload and reach capacity, making them more maneuverable, the company reported. HSS also makes equipment more fuel efficient by 6 to 8% when there is 10% reduction in equipment weight. Achieving part weight reduction up to 40% is also possible with HSS.

The company will also have abrasion resistant (AR) steel solutions, including grades up to AR500 in plate, sheet and coil, as well as Valast AR450 strip available in widths up to 81” — the widest AR strip on the market. These AR steels improve wear and impact characteristics in applications like mining and other heavy equipment.

In addition, Steel Warehouse metallurgists, Mick Gugel and Nicholas Kaufmann will present “Engineering the Future: Applying Lightweighting to New Industries” on September 9, from 3 to 4 PM CST in Room S402B. The presentation will cover how lightweighting strategies — using high-strength low-alloy steel (HSLA) and ultra-high-strength strength (UHSS) — can transform fabricating operations and provide measurable gains in productivity, performance and sustainability.
