PEMA Welding Automation Software to be Featured at FABTECH
October 17, 2024Finland-based global welding automation leader Pemamek Ltd. will feature the company’s most advanced welding technologies at FABTECH 2024 at The Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL at Booth W4681. In addition to demonstrating the PEMA Skytrack robot welding station, Pemamek showcases its high-end software offline programming system, WeldControl 300, with newly released AutoScan and PathPlanner features.
Additionally, Michael Bell, Pemamek’s North American Director of Sales and Application will speak to FABTECH Conference attendees about successfully implementing welding automation cells and measuring implementation success.
Offline Programming Powers Precision & Productivity
The WeldControl 300 is an operating system for heavy robotic welding automation. Integrated into all robotic welding solutions, the software facilitates offline programming and simulation of robotic welding operations. The software features parametric path creation, as well as copy, mirror and macro creation. WeldControl 300 was developed by Pemamek’s R&D team to address the specific requirements of welding applications. Its straightforward interface and programming reduce ramp-up time and enables welders to become cell operators in a short period of time.
Latest Add-Ons: PathPlanner & AutoScan
In robotic welding, precision and efficiency are paramount. Pemamek's latest add-on feature to WeldControl 300 Offline, the PathPlanner, revolutionizes welding path planning by automating the creation of collision-free paths. This tool enhances the effectiveness of offline programming and addresses a traditionally time-consuming part of the welding process. It also allows welders with less experience in programming to easily create welding paths. As the number of skilled welders decreases, it's increasingly important to develop tools that are easy to use, even for those with less experience.
The PathPlanner optimizes robot movements seamlessly from approach to welding to exit, ensuring an effortless workflow on even the most complex workpieces. By eliminating labor-intensive path-planning processes, the PathPlanner frees up valuable time resources for manufacturers to allocate toward other critical tasks. Its compatibility with existing 3D models ensures easy integration, paving the way for advanced welding automation.
AutoScan takes welding automation to the next level by enabling adaptive automated welding with minimal user input. Using a combination of sophisticated software and scanning technology, AutoScan creates data-driven, highly accurate welding paths that can then be used on all subsequent workpieces. As a part of the PEMA Core family of software systems, AutoScan is fully compatible with PEMA FMS. Scan once, all done.
Michael Bell speaking at FABTECH Conference
The Where, Who, and What of Implementing an Effective Welding Automation Cell, and How to Measure Its Success, will be presented by Pemamek’s Michael Bell, Wednesday, October 16 at 12:30 PM in Room S-330. The interactive discussion will walk attendees through the considerations of installing a welding automation cell, as well as some of the metrics to consider when weighing its success.
Pemamek welding automation experts will be available to demonstrate and discuss any of the company’s welding automation technologies in booth W4681.
