August 11: Women in Manufacturing Association to Offer 3rd Annual Moms in MFG Conference

The Women in Manufacturing Association (WiM) has announced that its third annual Moms in MFG virtual conference will take place on August 11, 2023. Moms in MFG is an annual event , as well as a sustained community to support mothers and caregivers working in manufacturing.

“WiM is proud to uplift and advance women in the manufacturing sector,” said WiM President Allison Grealis. “Today, over 70% of American mothers are also part of the workforce outside of the home. These women are balancing the dual responsibilities of career and caregiving. This conference is dedicated to ensuring that mothers, caregivers and those who support or lead them within their organizations have the strategies and support they need to thrive in the modern manufacturing workplace. After all, the strength of women in manufacturing isn’t just measured by the products we produce, but also by the communities we build, and the future generations we inspire.”

With presenting sponsor KPMG, the 2023 Moms in MFG virtual conference allows participants to join from anywhere and fit the program into their already busy schedules. This year’s event includes a number of sessions that promise key insights that can be applied immediately to help mothers and caregivers in the workforce succeed and thrive.

Sessions include presentations on the state of motherhood in the U.S., the future of a family friendly manufacturing sector, and strategies for combining the responsibilities of caregiving and work; a panel discussion on why investing in caregivers is essential for companies; and several breakout and roundtable discussions on topics including workplace policies, work/life balance, and mental health and wellness. View the full agenda and list of speakers on the Moms in MFG event webpage.

Registration is now open for the conference. Special early-bird pricing is available through July 15, and discounts are available for companies interested in holding “viewing parties” to allow a large number of their employees for whom the content would be relevant to participate.

In addition to presenting sponsor KPMG, the Moms in MFG conference also is supported by Southwire, AFL, RHI Magnesita and Motherly.
