COE Ships Coil Feed Line to Variety Die & Stamping

COE has shipped a new 18" coil feed line to Variety Stamping & Die.

COE Press Equipment has shipped an 18" coil processing line to Variety Die & Stamping (Dexter, MI), a manufacturer of precision stampings and assemblies for the automotive and lawn and garden industries.

The coil processing line is comprised of a Series 1 servo roll feed, a Series 250 18" power straightener, an 18" x 12' threading table and an 18" coil reel with 10,000 lbs. capacity. It is designed to process mild steel coils up to 18" wide and 50,000 PSI yield. It can handle material thicknesses from 0.020" to 0.156", depending on the material width, and achieve a roll speed of 392 FPM with a feed accuracy of +/- 0.003".

The system features the SyncMaster Touch integrated controller, which allows operators to manage the feed and straightener functions, set-ups and diagnostic reviews from a single, user-friendly touchscreen. According to the company, SyncMaster delivers high functionality typically only associated with full custom systems.

In addition to the equipment, COE provided personnel for supervising installation, start-up and training for the new line.
