Fagor Automation to Introduce New Digital Readout Systems at WESTEC 2010

Fagor Automation USA Corporation will display the new Innova 40i P and 40i TS Digital Readout Systems at WESTEC 2010.

The Innova 40i P is based upon the True Vision TFT Color screen platform and is expanded to four axes capability including rotary axes. In addition, the unit offers Program Memory storage as standard and comes equipped with machine I/O capability. The 40i TS also allows control of up to four axes and provides the capability of complete lathe spindle control, including Constant Surface Speed mode on our TFT color screen platform.

With the exclusive TFT color screen, it is possible to execute Solid 3D program simulations right at the Digital Readout. In addition, standard features include a host of cycles such as a pocket cycle, bolt-hole cycle, linear hole and matrix cycles. Additional productivity features include part centering, plane and angle operator selection, 20 offsets and tool radius compensation and more.

Standard features of the 40i Turning system include turning and taper cycles that utilize a graphical interface with conversational type data entry for programming ease. In addition, the 40i T now allows for the capability of threading. Additional productivity features include 15 tool offsets, diameter/radius programming and axes coupling plus additional standard features such as fine/course resolution selection, inch/metric programming, absolute/incremental selection and tool nose radius compensation.

The Innova 40i can be customized by parameter for milling, boring, turning, grinding or general purpose applications. Graphic help screens are designed for each application to ensure easy operation.

Fagor Automation will also be conducting demonstrations periodically throughout the show demonstrating the 8055 i CNC System for milling, turning and grinding applications.

"The 8055 i CNC Utilizes a simple icon key based conversational programming system or a conventional ISO G-code programming system within the same control," said a Fagor spokesperson. "You may toggle between the two operating systems at any time by simply pressing shift-esc. There are many benefits to this, one is the ability of the control to adapt to the operator/programmers ability or skill level, another very valuable benefit is you now have a machine that is not only ideal at complex large run production parts, but also perfect for quick set-up small lot production. The Fagor 'Icon Key' programming method greatly simplifies the programming process even compared to more conventional conversational systems by integrating the cycle into a single graphic assist screen, thus eliminating multiple screens. Graphic assist is utilized within all programming screens thus enabling 'true' fill in the blank programming."

The 8055 i is offered in applications up to seven axes for milling, turning, grinding or general purpose applications and is offered with either analog or full digital drive systems. The compact CNC 8055 i control system is also offered within a pre-engineered CNC/servo turnkey system.

Demonstrations will include examples of high level G-code programming utilizing the on-board mini-cad profile editor and interactive editor. Multiple quick routine cycles on the Icon key conversational operating system will also be demonstrated.

In addition, Fagor Automation will also be conducting product demonstrations of the high speed mold and die 8070 ETX CNC System with the capability of up to 28 axes and four interpolation channels.

Fagor is also exhibiting our full line of linear and rotary encoder feedback systems, motion control systems and AC brushless digital and analog servo systems.
