ACER Introduces New Large Spindle Bore Dynamic and E-Lathe Series

ACER Group has expanded its ACER family of heavy-duty precision lathes with the addition of the new ACER Large Spindle Bore Dynamic and E-Lathe Series (21-/22-/24-/26-/30-/32-inch) Lathe. The design is focused on the large e-concept lathe (inverter drive with infinite spindle RPM control) and large spindle bore feature.

The new series features extra-wide hardened and precision ground bed ways, headstocks, filled with precision ground gears in stepped speed or infinite speed (E-lathe) models, large spindle bores mounted in tapered roller and ball bearings for accuracy and smooth running and is an integral feed and thread gear box with a wide range of inch and metric threads available at the turning of a lever, the company said.

The new ACER precision lathes are equipped with an apron designed for easy operation and quick selection of feed direction and threading.

The included accessory package with the ACER 21-/22-/24-/26-/30-/32-inch Lathe is standard on the ACER lathes. These include: three-jaw chuck, steady rest, complete coolant system, halogen work light, followable or full length splash guard (between center 120-inch), four-way tool post and auto-feed stopper ring.

Available in 40- ~ 160-inch center distances, spindle bore 3.125- ~ 4.5-inch, the ACER precision lathes are featuring packages loaded with the most requested accessories, the company said.
