AccuTrex Products has recently added a new coating line to its Laminated Shim Stock Division. The company is a manufacturer of AccuPeel laminated (peelable) shim stock and fabricator of laminated shims. The addition of the coating line allows the company to control all facets of manufacturing, thus reducing the turnaround time (to a matter of days) for their laminated shim stock. The new coater has taken the quality of their laminated shim materials to a new level by creating a very even, consistent peel throughout the entire sheet, said AccuTrex.
Marty Howsare, Manager of Coating Services, said, "We have created what we believe to be the finest coater of laminated shim stock in the world. This machine provides a degree of consistency and control which directly translates into better quality for our customers."
AccuPeel conforms to the specification AMS-DTL-22499 and is available in aluminum, brass, stainless steel, carbon steel and titanium. This material is commonly used in aerospace applications, often for companies such as Lockheed and Boeing.
