Customizable and Flexible Machining Center

BURKHARDT+WEBER will feature the MCX 900 horizontal machining center at EMO. It offers accuracy for part sizes fitting within 1,500 mm (59") swing and up to 1,750 mm (69") in height. This machine is equipped with the latest features and options for large BW machining centers in 4-axis or 5-axis configurations; a variety of customizable features are available. "It all adds up to a faster return on investment and more customer-specific flexibility, addressing a wide array of machining needs in one center," said a company spokesperson.

"Representing a new approach to extra-long and large diameter tools above the 75 kg (165 lbs.) tool weight and 1,200 mm (47 in.) tool length limit of the standard BW tool magazine, this MCX 900 reaches far into boring mill applications," continued the spokesperson. "It is a workhorse of a machine with more dependable automation and more flexibility, effectively pushing automated machine cutting to a higher level."
