New High-Column EDM Model

EDM manufacturer, Sodick, has released a new model of wire EDM - the ALN600GH. This model further extends Sodick's Premium ALN series by adding increased Z capacity up to nearly 20", for total travels of 23.6" x 15.75" x 19.69" X/Y/Z. This line extension is in addition to the IMTS launch of the large-sized ALN800G and ALN800GH wire EDMs and AG200L Large Sinker EDM. "The release of these four high-capacity machines reflects Sodick's ongoing goal of delivering more capacity and performance in the manufacture of large parts," said a company spokesperson.
The ALN600GH features an automatic drop-tank for easy part set-up, as well as Sodick's latest SmartPulse Wire (SPW) Control. Onboard "Intelligent Qvic" programming software is included for easy programming from solid models or dxf files. All Sodick wire and sinker EDMs utilize Sodick's patented rigid linear motor for non-contact axis movement free from friction, wear and backlash.
