New MMH 500 HMC

Utilizing its expertise in providing machining solutions to global automotive OEMs, tier suppliers and commercial/off-road vehicles, MAG has introduced its newest MMH 500 Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) for the general market.

"MAG engineers designed the MMH 500 with precision, power, performance and productivity in mind," said a company spokesperson. All MMH machines come standard with 60 m/min linear axis speed and 12,000 RPM direct drive spindle (optional 15,000 RPM), which results in more throughput and high-speed cutting capabilities. "The high-pressure coolant through tool/spindle-ready feature is also included, providing flexibility to application changes with the ability to have 1,000 PSI at a small upgrade cost. The large tool capacity allows more application possibilities on one machine," added the spokesperson.

The MAG MMH 500's standard infinite contouring B-axis table (0.001°) is designed to deliver higher precision part cutting. The machine is 480V connection-ready and requires no isolation transformers, saving valuable floor space and investment cost.

"Unlike many other HMCs in the market, MAG's MMH 500 is designed and built with North American Controls Design and Safety Standards, which fully conforms to the latest U.S., Canadian and Mexican safety standards," said the spokesperson. "MAG is a member of FFG Global Machine Tool Conglomerate, which is currently the third largest machine tool group in the world. From its Sterling Heights, MI, facility, MAG designs, builds, and supports HMCs and vertical lathes. Distributor inquiries are welcomed."
