Registration Open for AEC's Extrusion Design University 2019

Registration is open for the Aluminum Extruders Council's (AEC) Extrusion Design University 2019 (EDU '19), scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Music City Center in Nashville, TN. Co-located with Aluminum USA (ALU USA), September 12-13, 2019, EDU '19 will feature 12 one-hour educational sessions covering aluminum extrusion topics arranged in three topic-specific tracks, including Architecture, Automotive and Industrial/Engineered Products.

This is the second year AEC is offering the educational event that is geared toward designers, engineers, architects, specifiers and others who are interested in learning more about aluminum extrusions. Aluminum extruders who are new to the field or want a refresher may also gain valuable information at EDU '19.

EDU '19 will connect aluminum extrusion industry experts who understand extrusion design and production processes with design and engineering professionals who are interested in enhancing their understanding and knowledge of aluminum extrusion design, applications and technology. The sessions at EDU will cover a wealth of topics from alloys and applications to finishing and fabrication, appealing to novices and veterans alike.

AEC plans to register sessions at EDU '19 for continuing education credits for building professionals. In addition, the educational sessions may provide engineers with Professional Development Hours (PDH) through their state's engineering licensure program. Each engineer should check with their state's program for specific requirements.

Registration for EDU '19 includes a full day of education and networking events. In addition, EDU '19 registration includes entry to ALU USA, offering an exhibition and conference for all things aluminum: products, technologies and investments in the U.S. At the end of the conference, on Friday, September 13, EDU delegates have an option to include a tour of the Bonnell Aluminum facility in nearby Carthage, TN. Space is limited and seats are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

"AEC members are excited to share their expertise and discuss how aluminum extrusions can provide cost-effective solutions to manufacturing challenges," said AEC President Jeff Henderson. "EDU '19 will be the best place to connect with these industry experts and learn how to use aluminum extrusion to the best advantage for a myriad of uses."
