Workshop Cabinets Receive iF DESIGN AWARD 2019

Hoffmann Group USA's products from its GARANT brand have received the iF DESIGN AWARD 2019. In the Product Design category, the GARANT GridLine range of workshop equipment and the GARANT locking tape measure were both awarded the quality seal. A jury of 67 experts from around the world selected the winners. The jurors had to select from 6,375 submissions, from 52 countries. The iF DESIGN AWARD is awarded annually by the world's oldest independent design institution, iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hanover.

"The GARANT line of products are beautifully crafted," said Charlie Slagle, President and CEO of Hoffmann Group USA. "Our GridLine workshop cabinets and locking tape measure are completely focused on functionality, design and ergonomics. The result is elegant and durable solutions that make day-to-day work easier."

The GARANT GridLine range includes a range of workbenches, workshop cabinets and roller cabinets for equipping modern industrial workplaces, facilities, shops and more. GARANT also offers a range of accessories to help customize work stations and other spaces. "The iF DESIGN AWARD jury was impressed by the structure, design and functionality of the cabinets," said a Hoffmann spokesperson. The range has been designed according to the GARANT GridLine design philosophy, which follows three principles: ergonomics, efficiency and emotion, and is based on standardized external dimensions and a uniform measurement grid.

"Whether it is small parts storage bins, slotted partitions and rigid foam inlays, or cabinets and workbenches, everything fits together perfectly in the modular GridLine system," said the spokesperson. "This creates attractive workstations and storage solutions with optimized functionality, that are suitable for any work environment." They can even be combined and expanded into any configuration desired.

In addition to the GARANT GridLine range, the GARANT locking tape measure also won the iF DESIGN AWARD. "This product stood out among the competition due to its refreshingly simple and characteristic rectangular shape," added the spokesperson. "Its ergonomic design and high-quality construction are noticed the moment the tape measure is gripped. And when the tape measure is put into action, its built-in damper makes for a smooth recoil - easing the strain on your wrist."

Over the past 10 years, tools from the GARANT brand have won 37 design awards.
