Long-term Greases for Actuators

Klüber Lubrication, a manufacturer of specialty lubricants, offers Klübertemp GR M07, M30 and M60, a series of greases are that are white, odorless and long-term, based on perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) oils and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thickener.

"The extremely high viscosity index (the flat viscosity curve of the base oils) of Klübertemp GR M greases allow for excellent sliding friction properties across a wide service temperature range," said a Klüber spokesperson. The greases show a neutral behavior towards most plastics and elastomers and can be used for a variety of component materials.

"Klübertemp GR M greases are used for the lubrication of electromechanical actuators, small gears and seals where they show low breakaway torques, exceptionally low friction values as well as a reduced tendency to stick slip," said the spokesperson. "This leads to lower frictional heating of elastomers subject to dynamic loads and longer component life."
