HD Servo-Piloting Feeds

COE will demonstrate its new HD Servo-Piloting Feed at FABTECH 2018.

COE Press Equipment will demonstrate its new heavy-duty (HD) servo-piloting servo feeds. The servo-piloting release is completely programmable so that stampers can optimize the feed window and the pilot-release window for each die, achieving the highest precision and speed for each application. These systems can process a range of heavy gauge materials including advanced steels. Designed for high speed environments, these feeds also feature increased journal and bearing sizes that can deliver high torque, speed and accuracy.

COE's new servo-piloting feeds offer many advantages over air feeds, including fast response time; only about 5ms as compared to 50 - 150ms with a pneumatic piloting system. Additionally, these systems require less maintenance by eliminating the need for hoses and air, as well as providing energy savings.

The HD servo-piloting feeds are available in styles featuring 5, 6, 7 or 8" roll diameters, and can process materials from 18 to 84" wide in thicknesses from .030" to .75". Depending upon style, drive ratio and feed angle, these new feeds can reach speeds of up to 409 FPM (this was the old 500 series speed).

These feeds are designed to work with COE's ServoMaster controllers featuring a user-friendly 5.7" VGA color touchscreen interface and the ability to store 500 job memory storage.
