Manufacturing Company NTM, Inc. Receives National Certification as "Woman Owned Business"

NTM, Inc., a business specializing in the manufacturing of cutting tools, precision machining and CNC tool grinding, recently received national certification as a woman-owned business by Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

"My sister Cynthia (Thielen) Blue and I are very proud to carry on our father's legacy in manufacturing quality cutting tools and providing precision machining for the defense industry. Becoming a certified woman owned business will place our company in an arena to better serve the manufacturing community," said Barbara (Thielen) Dorumsgaard, President of NTM, a 42-year old company started by their father Bob Thielen and uncle Bill Thielen in 1976. When Bob passed away in 1999, his wife, Marianne Thielen ran the company until she retired in December 2012, when their daughters took over the company.

"It is becoming increasingly important to be designated a woman-owned business because government contracts and association contracts call for suppliers to be women- or minority-owned," said a company spokesperson.

"We have steadily grown over the years. We manufacture our own line of magnetic v-blocks, Swiss toolholders and boring bars. Keeping our customers boring is our top priority. Providing custom CNC tool grinding services and precision CNC milling and turning are our specialties," said Cynthia (Thielen) Blue, Vice President of NTM, Inc.
