Enhanced CMM Offers More Capabilities in a Compact Design

DuraMax CMM rotary table and high-temperature gradient models from ZEISS

The line of rugged DuraMax coordinate measuring machines from ZEISS offers more application flexibility, while taking up less floor space.

"From the essentials to 4-axis measurements with a rotary table and high-temperature resistant options, the DuraMax provides excellent value and can handle challenging production environments," said a company spokesperson. "The rotary table option enables 4-axis scanning with a smaller footprint, reduced by 60% with the new design. Measurements of rotationally symmetric parts such as shafts, bearing rings and gear wheels are performed more efficiently with a rotary table. To ensure more stable measurements in higher temperatures, the high-temperature gradient system with an operating temperature range from +15 °C to +40 °C is more suitable."

When just the essentials are needed, customers can choose from the standard model or even a table-top option.

All DuraMax models are equipped with a single versatile sensor. The VAST XXT sensor utilizes a software-adjustable probing force, offering more precise measurements for a broad range of materials. The sensor quickly captures the contour of workpiece features, easily scanning in all 4 axes when combined with the rotary table.

All DuraMax CMMs are built in the USA.
