Yuasa International to Celebrate Grand Opening of New England Office

Yuasa International, sole importer of the Takamaz machinery line in the U.S, Canada and Mexico, has opened a new office in Bloomfield, CT. The company will celebrate with a grand opening and open house event April 17-18.

Three Takamaz machines will be on display at the event: the XC-100 6" gantry loaded box-way turret lathe; the J-Wave super-compact 4" gantry loaded gang-lathe; and the GSL-10 6" compact precision turret lathe.

"Takamaz is famous for its compact, rigid lathes, the majority of which have built-in robot gantry automation systems," said a company spokesperson. "Takamaz is also well known for its customization and turn-key capabilities that feature versatile automated loading, auto-gauging and parts cleaning lines."

Bloomfield, CT, is near one of Yuasa's largest customers in the region, Kamatics Corporation, which has succesfully implemented Takamaz solutions for high volume and smaller batch jobs. One system it purchased last year is able to turn both sides of a part, clean, gauge and auto offset key features, while still being compatible with over 900 different parts. This solution's gauging, automation and workholding changeover time does not exceed 11 minutes.

"I am confident that the new office and service facility in Bloomfield will allow us to replicate the success of customers such as Kamatics for new customers in the region," said Yuasa's Northeast Regional Sales Manager Sam Thomason.
