Destination Precision: ID Workholding for Complex Aerospace Parts at AeroDef

"The MANDO Adapt is a standard segmented mandrel that delivers fast, reliable and accurate changeover for O.D. to I.D. clamping using Hainburch's Today, Tonight, Tomorrow modular system," said a company spokesperson. "Take advantage of a concentricity of 0.005 mm between chuck taper and mandrel taper when turning. For stationary clamping devices, a repeatability of 0.003 mm is possible. And best of all: this can all be accomplished without readjusting."



The MANDO Adapt segmented mandrel uses state-of-the-art clamping technology. The central element is the vulcanized segmented clamping bushing made of case-hardened chromium-nickel-steel and have segments that are extremely rigid and wear resistant. This device allows for more exposure of the part for machining without sacrificing holding power or accuracy.

• Enhanced pull back clamping forces

• Extremely high clamping force even at the smallest diameter

• Clamping range 8-190 mm diameter

• Standard segmented clamping bushings and workpiece end-stops for machining to size
