La-Z-Boy Takes Delivery on New Feed Lines from Dallas Industries

Dallas Industries has announced that the La-Z-Boy facility in Neosho, MO, has taken delivery on two feed lines.

One line is a 36" wide conventional line featuring model DRF-536 cabinet mounted servo feed, threading table, model DPS-3.5-36-7 powered straightener and a 20,000 lb. load capacity reel with load car.

The second line is an 18" wide conventional feed line featuring La-Z-Boy's existing model DRF-418 cabinet mounted servo feed (with a new controls retrofit), threading table, model DPS-3-18-7 powered straightener and a 6,000 lb. load capacity reel.

Both lines were built on an Allen-Bradley, Ethernet-based control architecture and feature SyncLoop and ProfileSelect. SyncLoop controls synchronize the feeder and straightener speeds to enhance the slack loop's stability and control.

"ProfileSelect is a unique feed control system that is exclusively available through Dallas Industries," said a Dallas Industries spokesperson. It uses a cam-motion (sinusoidal) profile. This profile results in a feed motion that utilizes 100% of the press feed window, reducing stress on the material and the feed's mechanical components.

Dallas Industries' full line of products includes conventional and compact coil feed lines, as well as servo feeds, air feeds, heavy-duty straighteners and coil handling equipment.
