Variable Width and Length Linear Axes with New Modular System

To simplify product selection of maintenance-free, self-lubricating linear guides, motion plastics specialist igus has developed a modular construction kit for belt-driven DryLin ZLW linear axes. With the new ZLW toolkit, customers can customize their own solutions, including rail widths, system length, even for small installation spaces. Cross beams, rails and/or carriages are available in either aluminum or stainless steel to suit a wider range of application requirements.

With new 20 size ZLW system, loads up to (165 lbf.) can be lifted with stroke lengths of up to 3 m (118"). Wide drive belts can also permit high speeds of more than 5 m/s (16 ft./s), dependent on the load. Underwater applications are possible via special toothed belt.

The lack of required lubricant and stainless steel options make the ZLW a suitable solution for food and laboratory settings, and the open design makes the system easy to clean and resistant against dirt and debris.
