Sigma Labs Forms Strategic Alliances

Sigma Labs, Inc., a provider of quality assurance software under the PrintRite3D brand, has signed commercial alliances with Morf3D and Jaguar Precision Machine Corporation.

The alliance with Morf3D will bring enhanced solutions for additive manufacturing (AM) to the aerospace and defense sector. Morf3D, based in El Segundo, CA, is an AM product developer specializing in high-level consulting and manufacturing services including conceptualization, optimization, metallurgical examination, certification and data analysis. Leveraging Sigma Labs' PrintRite3D quality assurance software, Morf3D will be able to provide a means for customers to increase AM production rates while ensuring consistent part quality. The two companies will also work together to manufacture certain 3-D printed parts going forward. Contracts already in hand are expected to translate into substantial revenue for Sigma Labs in 2017.

"Due to the growth in demand for 3-D printed metal components within the aerospace and defense industry, we have decided to join forces with Morf3D to better serve a number of OEMs with their next-generation applications," said Mark Cola, President and CEO of Sigma Labs. "Working together, we can design, engineer, manufacture and assure the quality of AM components across a number of exciting aerospace and defense opportunities, and existing contracts are anticipated to dramatically impact Sigma Labs' growth trajectory beginning this year."

Ivan Madera, CEO of Morf3D, added, "This partnership with Sigma Labs is a critical step towards accelerating our vision of operating as a strategic supplier-partner while meeting the high quality demands of our aerospace customers. Sigma Labs' proprietary PrintRite3D software will enable us to have a unique competitive advantage with in-process quality assurance and deliver game-changing performance for end use aerospace components. We strongly believe that our combined expertise and capabilities can help the industry more rapidly advance and grow the entire addressable market in tandem."

Sigma Labs Alliance with Jaguar Precision Machine

Sigma Labs' commercial alliance with Jaguar Precision Machine Corporation will expand its suite of integrated, advanced manufacturing services. The addition of Jaguar allows Sigma Labs to provide end-to-end 3-D advanced component manufacturing capabilities, including computer aided design (CAD), engineering (CAE), manufacturing (CAM) and inspection (CAI). Jaguar is a precision prototype machining facility located in Albuquerque, NM. Leveraging Sigma Labs' 3-D printing capability and PrintRite3D quality assurance software, Jaguar will be able to provide increased production rates while ensuring consistent part quality. The two companies will also work together to manufacture 3-D printed parts requiring exacting precision to demanding specifications, with contracts expected in 2017.

"We are pleased to announce a partnership agreement with another innovative company in the aerospace and defense space, Jaguar Precision Machine," said Mark Cola, President and CEO of Sigma Labs. "The team of companies - Sigma Labs, Jaguar Precision Machine and Morf3D - now have the capability to deliver additional services to a broad customer base."

Dan Schatzman, CEO/Owner of Jaguar, added, "Partnering with Sigma Labs is a critical step for Jaguar in developing our branded `3D Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem' capabilities. Sigma Labs' proprietary PrintRite3D software will enable us to offer our customers high-quality 3-D printed parts for end use aerospace and defense components, and we believe our combined expertise will give our customers the best solutions for AM."
