Bin Handling Solution to Premier at ProMat 2017

Kardex Remstar is launching its newest product line at ProMat 2017. The intralogistics supplier is adding the Vertical Buffer Module product family to its portfolio, starting with the introduction of the Kardex Remstar LR 35 storage and retrieval unit. Kardex Remstar will display the LR 35 for the first time in North America at ProMat in Chicago, IL, April 3-6, 2017 in booth 2912.

The LR 35 is a goods to person, bin handling solution suited for any company involved in handling single-part or small-volume orders. The unit consists of a shelf system with automatic bin handling, picking stations and its own logistics software. In line with Kardex Remstar's other product lines, the LR 35 operates on the "goods to person" principle, bringing totes of small items directly to the operator with minimal wait time. "The LR 35 improves order picking performance, energy efficiency and the amount of floor space required for storage of goods. The LR 35 is a suitable bin handling solution for small and medium sized warehouses," said a company spokesperson.

In addition to the premiere of this new product, the Shuttle XP Vertical Lift Module integrated with pick to light technology and Power Pick Global inventory management software will also be on display. "By utilizing the vertical space from floor to ceiling, vertical storage systems eliminate wasted space commonly found in shelving systems to recover up to 85% floor space," said the spokesperson. "Allowing organizations to create floor space for additional manufacturing or other revenue generating activities can be easily cost justified."
