Morris Florida, LLC will cut the ribbon on its new Tech Center at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 28, to be followed by a joint Open House with neighbor Haas Factory Outlet - A Division of Morris Florida, March 28 - 29, in Tampa, FL.

"We are very excited to celebrate the grand opening of our new Tech Center with a full complement of Tsugami Swiss-type lathes," said Scott Myre, President of Morris Florida. "Tsugami's Swiss-type CNC lathes with sliding headstocks are ideal for medical device and firearms manufacturers, both of which continue to grow here in Florida."

The list of Tsugami CNC lathes scheduled to perform live cutting demonstrations at Morris Florida's two-day event includes: Tsugami S206 6-axis opposed gang tool CNC lathe, Tsugami B0326-II 6-axis Swiss-type CNC lathe and a Tsugami M08SY turning center with Y-axis.

HFO/Florida, a division of Morris Florida (next door) will also be opening its doors to local manufacturers with a total of five Haas CNC Machine tools on display, which will include: Haas ST-30SSY multitasking turning center with sub-spindle and Y-axis; Haas ST-15 CNC lathe; Haas DT-2 drill/tap center; Haas VF-4SS vertical machining center (VMC) with 4th and 5th axis rotary tables installed; and UMC-750 5-axis universal machining center. Much of the interior at the Haas Factory Outlet has also been remodeled, including an expanded conference room.

The two-day event is open to the public and kicks off at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 28, with the official ribbon cutting ceremony followed by live cutting demonstrations that run through 5 PM. The celebration continues Wednesday, March 29, from 9 AM - 5 PM. Lunch for all attendees will be provided both days.
