Surfcam Partners with Machine Tool Manufacturer SMTCL Americas

"Surfcam, by Vero Software, and machine tool manufacturer SMTCL have signed a partnership agreement dedicated to offering the best manufacturing technologies and highest level of customer support to their joint customers," said a company spokesperson.

"SMTCL is very proud to enter into a partnership with Surfcam," said Jerry McCarty, Chief Operating Officer of SMTCL-Americas. "This partnership will allow us to bring our customers a new level of service that will help make their machine tools more productive and their businesses more competitive."

Interoperability between the Surfcam computer aided manufacturing (CAM) solution and machine tools manufactured by SMTCL are the foundation of the partnership, which can benefit customers who adopt the technologies of both companies.

"We work together to create SMTCL-approved corporate post-processors so that customers are productive quicker when buying our joint products," said Vic Baker, Strategic Partner Manager-Americas for Vero Software.

Among the projects on which the two companies have joined forces is the creation of a rotary table package that will include Surfcam software and deliver a turn-key option to SMTCL machine tool users.

Additionally, the two companies will work jointly as a customer support resource when users of the Surfcam solution and SMTCL machinery encounter technical glitches related to running CNC programs.
