Self-Centering Drilling Heads

Iscar has expanded its SUMOCHAM drilling heads line by introducing the self-centering HCP drilling heads. The HCP IQ drilling heads feature geometry with concave cutting edges that enable utilizing up to 12 XD long drills without the need for drilling a pilot hole. "This measured penetration reduces torque and cutting forces, which enhances the drills' self-centering capability and results in improved hole circularity, straightness, concentricity and surface finish, resulting in cost reduction," said a company spokesperson.
