Flow International Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of industrial waterjet machines for cutting applications, will bring the latest in waterjet software, FlowXpert 2015, to FABTECH this year in booth S-3901. The tradeshow will be held November 9-12, 2015, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Flow will feature its latest waterjet technology including live cutting demonstrations on the Mach 4 and Mach 2 line of waterjets.
The FlowXpert Software Suite is a robust 3D CAD/CAM platform that includes Design powered by SpaceClaim, an integrated 3D modeling tool. "Designed specifically for waterjet cutting, programmers and operators will notice improved pathing workflows, resulting in faster waterjet programming," said a company spokesperson.
"The Mach 4 offers a variety of features unique in the waterjet industry including an expandable modular design, an exclusive Nexen roller pinion system and an ergonomical design to improve operator convenience and productivity with lighting to enhance workpiece visibility, efficient abrasive removal and easy access to material and parts with full four-sided accessibility," said a company spokesperson. At FABTECH, the Mach 4 will combine Flow's HyperJet pump, rated at 94,000 PSI and Dynamic Waterjet XD, high precision flat stock and 3D cutting technology.
"The Mach 2 is a value-priced machine tool optimized for either pure or abrasive waterjet cutting. Whether cutting 3" thick steel plate or multi-stacked gasket material, the Mach 2 provides fast and accurate cutting at an exceptional price. The Mach 2c will be shown with the HyPlex Prime pump which has a highly modular design, allowing customized pump performance at a low production-level price," said a company spokesperson.
