Universal I.D./O.D. Grinders

The POWERMASTER CNC series of universal I.D./O.D. grinders is designed to perform complex and high precision I.D. and O.D. grinding operations in a single chucking or between centers operation, which allows for substantial time savings in set-up and grind times, according to the company.

The POWERMASTER features a turret wheelhead design that sports two O.D. grinding wheels, a straight wheel and an angle wheel, as well as an I.D. wheel. The turret is programmable, allowing the operator to move freely from one wheel to the other. The PMG-A model capabilities include but are not limited to: internal diameter, outside diameter, shoulder grinding, taper grinding and face grinding. The PMG-B models have the added capability of grinding non-round parts, giving the operator greater flexibility.

The reinforced ribbed box-type base is made of Meehanite cast iron to provide machine rigidity and stability. The combination of precision hand scraped Turcite-B coated V and flat guideways with a hydrodynamic lubrication system helps provide accuracy and dependability.

According to the company, the POWERMASTER can grind complex workpieces in small and large batch productions, and is especially suited for the automotive, medical, machine tool, aerospace, pneumatic and electric motor industries.
