Kitamura Machinery's Mycenter-3XG vertical machining center (VMC) is designed for high precision cutting applications requiring high levels of accuracy and a small footprint.
The Mycenter-3XG features positioning accuracy of ±0.000079" and repeatability of ±0.000039" within a compact footprint (86.61" W x 82.50" D).
The VMC features handscraping production techniques and solid box guide ways on the X, Y and Z axes for enhanced rigidity and tool life. A spacious work envelope expands work fixturing capabilities, especially when adding additional axis rotary tables for more complex 4th and 5th axis machining.
Standard is a 15 HP AC spindle motor with a direct drive, dual contact spindle system designed for machining rigidity, reduced vibration, super fine finish capabilities, higher cutting accuracies and extended cutting tool life.
"By following programmed tool paths with high accuracy, Kitamura's G-Series machining centers offer users a wide range of high precision machining capabilities," said a company spokesperson. "Rigidity and strength in machine design means many parts processed with no broken tools and less wear and tear. For high production machining, longer tool life means elimination of redundant tools loaded into the tool carousel, leaving tool storage available for actual machine ATC capacity.
"The high performance Kitamura-Arumatik Mi control runs fast so the machine need not wait on part program processing (1,680 block look ahead and 2,800 block/second processing speed) for smoother and faster machining of complex of workpieces."
